2/14 AW - Team training

Hello everyone and welcome to the first ever (to the extent of my knowledge) English Springen blog post. I will be todays bloghost? I am not sure if that's a thing but anyways my name is Lachlan Moore or better known as ロック. This is my first year with Springen and my second as a master's student at Waseda.

I was motivated to join Springen as I saw the club posting on Wasedas website, being new to Japan and not so new to skiing I wanted to join. Previously, in Canada I had ski raced from around 5 years old to the end of high school. Even going as far as taking a year off before starting University to ski. During my undergrad I coached ski racing at the club I raced with.

Unlike Japan, Canada does not offer many clubs or circles and joining one seemed interesting to do while doing my studies at Waseda.

Onwards to today's topic, Valentine's Day. Uh wait no AW training yes that's it. Today we had a morning GS training session at Sugadaira. The run we trained on was rather short for my liking, (Canada mountains big). But it was a good confidence builder for the first years. Another good point is that the lift is quite short with a mid station so one lap only takes about 10 mins.

Enjoy a Springen training family photo.

GS training finished!

After training we went to get some food in the town. We went to some burger cafe. I cannot remember the name but it was yummy. I also don't have photos so your gonna have to trust me that it happened.

I would like to thank everyone on Springen for being so welcoming and friendly. I have had a great time so far and am looking forward to all the more shenanigans in the future.

I will now conclude this blog with some final parting messages. I hope I get invited back to do another blog but I will only do it in Japanese if Takamine does one in English 😉 Now this blog was really a English test all along if you understood this please ask me what 'its gorkin time' means. Anyways cya time!

I only ski in cosplay :)
